Our story

The Women’s Day Run is an annual event held on International Women’s Day on the 8th of March. In 2026, the run will celebrate its 4th anniversary.

Launched in 2023, it’s a timed fun run with distances from 3 km to 16 km, designed for women at the center but open to everyone: men, kids, friends, and families.

The run is more than kilometers on the road. It’s music, sweat, conversations, and community. It’s a morning where women claim space — on the track and beyond — to move, to connect, and to celebrate strength in all its forms.

The Women’s Day Run exists to do three things: get active, stay active, and spark real conversations.

We believe fitness is freedom — physical, emotional, and mental. When women gather to run, they also gather to share, support, and lift each other up.

Every edition also powers change off the track.

The run raises funds for the Mercy Line menstrual kit program, providing reusable kits that help keep Ugandan girls in school.

Since 2023, runners have raised UGX 15 millions, proving that a morning jog can actually transform a girl’s future.
